It’s already that time again?
While there’s still a chance that something might appear in the wild, it’s safe to say everything that can be published this year is out there. So here goes:
- “Jizo Rides the Bus” (Strange Religion) – A tale of grief and hope set in Silicon Valley. I talk about the story’s origins here.
- “The Last Best Day of Antonio Silveri, Ph.D.” (On Spec) – The story that made the editor cry.
- “The Witch’s Oath” (Dreamforge) – A failed contest entry that found a home with a great editor.
- “Five Things You Should Know Before Summoning a Demon” (Wyldblood) – Just plain fun.
I also had a reprint this year – “Burial Detail” (Strange Wars) – Not eligible for anything but a fine story and homage to a dear, departed friend.
